Building EMG devices for personal agency.

openEMG builds devices that read the body's own electrical signals, so people with disabilities can control computers and electronics on their own terms.

How does this technology work?

We work with biosignals: the tiny electrical voltages your body gives off when muscles and neurons fire. Our devices then turn them into reliable computer input.

Electromyography (EMG)

Electromyography reads muscle activity right from the surface of your skin, so even the faintest intentional movement can become a click, a gesture, or a keystroke.

Electroencephalography (EEG)

Electroencephalography reads brain and facial-muscle signals. Take a look at how it drives real computer control with eye and facial movement in our demos.

What we offer

We offer premium accessibility contracting: you tell us what's getting in the way, we figure out a solution together with you, and the openEMG team will find a way to build it!

01. You describe the problem.

Tell us what you're struggling to do with your devices.

02. We design a solution, together.

We will discuss your needs with you and figure out the right EMG/EEG approach for your needs.

03. We build it!

The openEMG team will build the device and get it working for you.
